Blumenthal was an advisor to the Clintons and part of the discover of the Steele Dossier - that's his real crime.
His lying about a few things, not just his service, was disgraceful. BUT he was not a public servant. Never will be.

Santos ran for office, and won, as basically a different person than he presented to the voters.
His accountability was to the people he lied to, not to the party which whom he'll sit with.
However, with a narrow majority in the House, don't expect an ounce of integrity from the Cons.
It's party over everything, win at any cost.

Anyway, he served on those committee because HE DID SERVE IN THE MARINES DURING VIETNAM, he was not in Vietnam.
For six years he wore the uniform and was ready.

Santos never wore the uniform. Santos is not Jewish as he also claimed. Santos doesn't have the family he also claimed. Santos doesn't have an education though claimed to have finished college.
So the people elected an educated, Jewish, family man and veteran who served his country. Instead they got Santos who is none of those things.
