52 who worked or voted in Wisconsin election have COVID-19

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — There are no plans to postpone or otherwise alter a special congressional election in Wisconsin that is less than two weeks away, even though more than 50 people who voted in person or worked the polls during the state's presidential primary this month have tested positive for COVID-19.

Democratic Gov. Tony Evers tried to change the April 7 election so that it would be conducted entirely by mail, but he was blocked by the Republican-led Legislature and conservative Wisconsin Supreme Court. Evers and others had warned that allowing in-person voting would cause a spike in coronavirus cases, but so far the impact appears to be limited.

New York's Cuomo calls politics 'hammer into the middle' of U.S. during pandemic

(Reuters) - New York Governor Andrew Cuomo said on Wednesday that he was hearing the "music of a campaign season" in Washington's response to the coronavirus pandemic, warning that partisanship could drive a "hammer into the middle of this country."

Cuomo's wide-ranging remarks also criticized what he called the "extraordinarily dangerous" politicization of the response to a pandemic that has killed more than 58,000 Americans and left millions jobless.

The Democratic governor, who has intermittently traded barbs with U.S. President Donald Trump and other Republican politicians during the crisis, made a thinly veiled reference to the upcoming national election in November.

"I've heard this music before. This is the music of a campaign season, this is the music of a rally, and balloons and 'It's us versus them' and 'We're good and they're bad' and that is poison right now as to where we are," Cuomo told a briefing.

Blame where it belongs

I agree....trump entirely at fault...was warned in 2018...was warned several times in Jan....he was warned and told

gets full blame!

Explain please.
He was people in glass houses throwing stones I think

Blame where it belongs

NOT politically expedient for the Dems -unfortunately they’d rather blame OUR President than the Chinese that are CLEARLY to blame.

Blame where it belongs
Seeing as the ENTIRE WORLD is handling the coronavirus better than the US, I'd say a lot of blame for our current situation can be laid right in the ORANGE PRESIDENT'S lap. The USA now has over 1/3 of all known cases of cvid-19 (it would be even higher IF we had testing kits, yet only 1% of the entire US population has been tested because of no testing kits per most states), AND ... we now have 1/4 of the World's deaths from cvid-19, and its my understanding those numbers are being suppressed.
So, you think NO BLAME should be put in Trump's administration's lap even though he knew of the pandemic urgency 3-4 weeks prior to announcing it to the US population? That he refuses to listen to the doctors & scientists? That he's lied continually to governors regarding ventilators & masks, etc? That he's been WRONG on every Trump prediction he's given regarding the severity & predicted end to the cvid-19? And he's not through YET ... oh yes, Trump's ready to write his masterpiece on cvid-19. Now he wants to tell meat processing employees that they HAVE to stay open (by executive order) and that states have to open up for business. Many more will now probably get sick & die because the ORANGE MAN cares more about business than he does the safety of the people.
Maybe, after proving that active Presidents could not be prosecuted for wrong deeds while in office, Trump has decided he can lie to the American people continuously about anything and everything and not even flinch an eye by simply pointing the blame to others.
Is THAT what you're now saying, Allfor? Afterall, name ONE THING that has negatively happened during his Presidency that Trump stood up and took the blame for ... just ONE THING?

We are 10th on list

We are 10th on list
PER CAPITA ... lol My numbers are TOTALS, beanbag. Oh yes, fall back on per capita when the numbers call you a liar. Hell, so if a country has 10 citizens and 5 have the virus, that's 50% of their population and puts them ahead of the US? Ohhhhhh no, Sherlocks, it doesn't work that way. You can stuff that per capita info where the sun doesn't shine.
Under Trump, the USA is quickly establishing itself as the big scab of the world.

Well genius if we have more people we should have more sick . break the country in to size of other countries and compare new england to England or Spain or Italy

Trump knows he can't wield media like last guy

Why can't you just admit that Trump's disbanding of the White House pandemic response team, followed by months of Trump ignoring the warnings given by experts and downplaying what is now an epic health & economic threat is HIS FAULT for what we have NOW!
How much longer should the American people continue to allow themselves to be victimized by the intellectually & morally bankrupt policies of this President and the Republican Party?
