I have been contemplating your way of thinking. I agree anyone could get the virus and infect others. This country can't shut down for months on end without devastating results, 78 % of workers in America live paycheck to paycheck 3 out of 4 are in debt. One way or another they need to pay their bills, their children need to eat, rent or mortgages need to be paid along with utility bills, car payments and so much more. Not on the same level as the coronavirus, but we deal with deaths by contagious diseases constantly, Everyone will have to do what they find necessary and we can't judge them.

The Centers for Disease Control would train Health ******* employees, and state and local governments would manage them. Once the pandemic subsided, the employees would be redeployed as health extension workers among vulnerable populations.
Emphasizing the need for more public health workers, a recent report from the Johns Hopkins Center for Health Security suggested that the United States would need 100,000 more contact tracers, workers who help track the spread of the coronavirus, to combat the pandemic.
The bill also includes funding for a "Resiliency *******," a proposal by Democratic Sens. Ed Markey of Massachusetts and Chris Van Hollen of Maryland to hire an additional 62,000 employees at the Federal Emergency Management Agency.

I get that about the 78%, and maybe that needs addressing? Is the USA still the richest country on earth? Doesn't that mean that its people should be more secure?
