i don't see it as being rude to say a statement is annoying.
The phrase "something is meant to be" does not mean "...by the person who mentions it" according to common language usage. It typically means "...by god's or nature's intention" which is quite a different thing. i don't speak on bahlf of everybody here but i have noticed other members of this site complaining about such statements in multiple threads before i did.
ImO it is annoying that some members (usually white males) are trying to tell the world what would be the right and natural choice of a lifestyle or partner. Everybody is different and if somebody chooses a different lifestyle or partner than me or you, it is not necessarily a wrong choice for them nor less appropriate. just sayin'
And BTW i think the kissing in that scene is hot too.
