Mayor Pete seems to think that his gayness is a qualification and that it will play in middle America. Perhaps he thinks it is offset by military service. I grew up as a military brat in several countries. I respect his service, but I believe his appeal will not resonate with the wider democrat identity groups. He is too white and too upper-middle-class for the delicate dem coalition of victims groups.

Perhaps the dems will make an issue of trans-rights in public bathrooms. I was surprised that my local public school district is spending millions to renovate bathrooms and locker rooms to acommodate trans students. It was a contentious battle, so this is a very current political issue. If all politics is personal, then I benefit from my appearance -- using the Ladies Room is no problem for me.

I'm a patriotic military brat, a business operator and I pass for very female in what liberals hatefully call the "gender binary". I don't need Pete Buttplug opening any trans doors for me -- I have men doing that all the time. What I do need is a hard-headed businessman in the Oval Office, holding the doors of commerce open and making the US feared and respected in the world.

With that kind of disunity in the movement it is amazing that it doesn't crumble? But thanks to the LGBTQ+ agenda these days where it's all over any media anyone can think of I'd doubt that would happen. :unsure:

would not surprise me...…..70% of the country...both dems and repubs do now want him in the 2020 race......so one would have to think if he made it there was some "skullduggery" afoot...…..although I do not think the country is quite ready for sanders either......although maybe I'm getting soft but his speeches don't sound so bad anymore since he got off that political revolution *******
