That is a shame. The thing is the United States cannot simple accept all the people from failed governments. If you or I went the the Canadian border and failed to provide proper proof of who we are, they would not let us enter, they would send us back. The first decennial census in the United States in 1790 showed a population of just under four million people. In 2019, the U.S. population is at more than 330 million. Without a doubt we need Immigrants. It is sad that we have undocumented aliens that have lived here for over 10 years, we should stop that. If an immigrant has been in this country for even 5 years as law abiding productive people, they should get their citizenship.
