You're right, the LHC can't make black holes that will consume the earth. Neither can the next generation super collider CERN is proposing or the larger super collider China is building. That suggestion has popped up many times in the press. Makes good click bait/grabs attention of the poorly educated masses that can't come close to understanding the quantum mechanics involved.
Micro black holes could be produced in theory by a massive collider. But a micro black hole isn't the soul (and everything else) sucking monster that you hear about in space, formed by a collapsing star. A micro black hole's entire lifespan would be a tiny fraction of a second. It would wink out of existence in that fraction of a second due to losing its tiny mass through Hawking radiation.
The best proof that the LHC type collisions aren't a risk to the planet is that we're still here. The Earth has been bombarded by cosmic rays for the last 4.5 billion years. These cosmic rays produce the same kind of collisions as we make in the LHC....but at ridiculously higher energy levels than the LHC or any other super collider humans can build. Cosmic ray energies have been measured as high as 300,000,000 terra electron volts. That kind of energy vs the LHC is like comparing the Hiroshima bomb to a firecracker.
The moral of this story is: Probably best to not get your education in particle physics from drama TV...or interracial porn sites...unless I'm the instructor

Way too much theory and assumptions to really know what a black hole is or how it is created. We are still learning about our own solar system; heck, it wasn't long ago that we learned that Pluto wasn't even a planet ... so I've been trying to contact my 3rd grade science teacher to point out my answer to question # 12 was right afterall ... 8 planets, not 9.

A great example of people who don't understand quantum mechanics. We in the science community understand black holes quite well. You obviously don't.
Also your Pluto analogy is rather idiotic. We didn't "learn that Pluto wasn't a planet" The science community decided to not call it a planet anymore. What constitutes a planet is an arbitrary human definition. Astronomers chose to tweak the definition in such a way that Pluto no longer fits it.
Black holes are what they are because of the unyielding laws of Physics. Those laws don't change at the whim of a scientist's definition.
Man did not make this planet or the universe. Only perverted it. And gave people false truth.

I'm tracking on the radio-active material in the air and water coming from Japan with their nuclear power-plant melt down although I don't think all of it is intentional as the core melted down and its too radioactive for anyone to get in as the people who do know its a one way trip death sentence.
I was listening to a radio program with people out of Washington state saying their radioactive geiger meters have been spiking and there are large clumps of matter floating across the pacific from the fall-out. I'm with you on that but the other stuff - where are you getting all that from?

dickwad!Well, Quantum Mechanics is a theory, just like gravity is a theory. ( I could easily throw in some name calling here, but I won't stoop to your level)
Of course gravity is both a law in terms of Newtonian motion and a theory in terms of Einstein's general relativity. I could try to explain the nuances of scientific hypothesis vs theories vs laws, but I think I'll try explaining it to my puppy instead. Probably have about the same luck.
