Did a quick check. There are currently three members of the federal goverment in jail. Two are Democrats one is a Republican. From what I read none of them was smart enough to run for high school student council.

Google just a few minutes ago and I searched politian elected while in jail. Not politians in jail. That list is way to long.
well the election is over. Let’s see what happens. If the Dem’s go after Trump I don’t think the USMC trade deal will go through while trump is in office. It will be interesting time these next to years. Good luck.
I did read about your tax breaks that Trump brought in. It seems that ten percent of the people got ninety percent of the tax cuts and ninety percent got ten percent of the tax cuts.
Also read that Kudlow (think i got it right) said that the US has a spending problem and programs have to be cut. I am thinking Medicare, education, and welfare are on that list. None of which affect the top ten percent. So the rich get richer and the poor get poorer.
Wonder if these guys have heard of Marie Antoinette and her “LET THEM EAT CAKE” line.
So the rich get richer and the poor get poorer.
FactCheck: Poverty rate has fallen under Great Society
Bill O'Reilly of Fox News said that the poverty rate has stayed about the same since Lyndon Johnson's Great Society of the mid-1960s. He said, "Obama believes Johnson's Great Society entitlements can elevate the poor to prosperity. They can't. In 1965, the poverty rate stood at 14%. Now, after untold trillions have been spent fighting poverty, the poverty rate is 14.3%."
The Great Society agenda included such ongoing programs as Medicare, Medicaid, and Head Start--intended to improve the health care, Nutrition, & education; and focused on elderly poverty, which is down to 13%. That said, we'll take O'Reilly's statement on its own terms:
He uses the wrong numbers. The poverty rate was 17.3% in 1965, not 14%. So the poverty has fallen by 3 percentage points, or by about 1/6 its original level.
Counting different years shows even more decline. In 1962, the poverty rate ranged was 20%. In pre-recession 2007, it stood at 12.5%. Comparing 1962 and 2007, the poverty rate dropped by over 1/3.
Really? are you sure?
Poverty has improved only by 4% since 1964 when LBJ declared "War on poverty". Actually nothing has really changed much. The social programs being cut are failed programs. Welfare only serves to keep people IN poverty, Medicare needs to be revamped, and education needs a complete new structure. So I ask you this, which side is really the problem, the Republicans for cutting funding to fail programs in which forces changes, but don't offer any ideas of their own, or the democrats who continue to support failed programs, keeping people in poverty instead of looking at what could work better?

TwoBi ... anyone can go find an article or two to support their side of an argument; but you damn well know that not ONLY are the richest Americans getting richer and the poorest Americans getting poorer, more people are falling into the POOR side of economic woe every day
Income inequality? seriously? LOLwell the point IS the rich get rich and the poor get poorer....so nothing you have said disproves that!
what I think last year wages went up 2.9%...cost of living 3.2%
cutting failing social programs...what is failing about them..they are helping those in need....something the rich sure doesn't do
there was a time in this country most of that was not needed.....people helped one another in one way or another
but since "trickle down"....the gap between the rich and the poor has widened.....far greater here than any other country in the world!

So you are suggesting that a burger flipper should make the same as a rocket scientist?
You are pro equal outcome instead of equal opportunity, not surprised there.
If you don't like your career then change your career. Don't demand you get paid the same as others
what the hell does income in equality have to do with failing welfare programs?...you have a very short attention span don't you?And this is a good example of where our welfare program fails
I know becasue I have tried to get our local unemployment office to pay for job retraining
Again, it comes back to structuring our tax laws to encourage corporation to give more back to the people and communities
As you can see, our great government tends to keep most of it for themselves.
right....after you just got a nice tax break...you want to restructure?....as for corps giving anything back....proven that doesn't happen..guess you haven't heard of failing trickle down........it goes overseas...or haven't you been paying attention there either
your biz increased 3 fold and gave nothing to your employees!....that goes along way towards income inequality!
