If you measure by the investors, yes, of course. But, don't beat your chest over it. Today we have a two week total of 16 million jobs lost but the market had a rally. Hard to tout a strong economy because of Wall Street, when Main Street is waiting in line and on hold trying to find work. Ask Herbert Hoover how well that went from him.

I am hearing evidence that the real number of dead in Wuhan is more likely around 50,000 to 60,000 people (China is saying 2,500). That is based on crematoriums running non-stop for almost two months and the number of burial urns that were ordered by the mortuaries. Also, an Australian version of 60 Minutes is saying that the bat that carried the virus is from many miles away. They were experimenting on them in the bio lab that was very near the wet market. Bats were supposedly not being sold in the wet market. So, this likely was a bio-lab experiment that escaped.

Not to say it is not coming,,,,just not when so many dying....I don't have that problem...he is a killer

Democrats tread carefully in attacking Trump on coronavirus

For weeks, President Donald Trump has dominated television coverage with daily White House briefings on the coronavirus pandemic, declaring himself a "wartime president" and touting his administration's response.
But Trump's tendency to pepper his news conferences with misstatements, untruths and scientifically questionable advice has armed Democrats with a wealth of ready-made sound-bites to use against him ahead of the Nov. 3 election.

The challenge for Democrats - and their presumptive presidential nominee, Joe Biden - is how to highlight what they see as Trump's failures in handling the crisis without appearing too crassly political when Americans are dying and losing their livelihoods as a result of the disease.

The coronavirus outbreak has upended life across the country, shuttering large portions of the economy. Some 94% of Americans are under stay-at-home orders to slow the spread of the respiratory virus, which had infected about 430,000 people in the United States and killed more than 14,700 as of Wednesday night.
The key is rural America. The pandemic is starting to hit and they are completely unprepared. It won't shake the tRump base, but will peel off more of the purple state voters. Missouri, Georgia, Arizona, Pennsylvania and Colorado(mail in ballot state and US Senate seat to be flipped. Easy win) come to mind.

Don't think it's a lab experiment because no one moves to biological weapon status without having a defense, and antidote? It's a dual development that starts on paper and petrie dishes. Not like a movie where it accidentally gets out. Besides, why would they go for something easily detectable from other viruses and not as deadly as say, sarin gas?
The number dead you're hearing is about what I expect in an area of 11 million people.

Not sure what previous gun walking operations has to do with Obozo's Fast & Furious....oh yeah deflection. Should have expected as much. How many US FBI agents were killed by guns allowed to walk under Bush's Operation Wide Receiver? How many other US attorney generals were found in contempt of congress for withholding gun walking documents under subpoena?

You don't seem to have the basics down here. Well except Obama bad. No FBI agents were killed, it was Border Patrol.
Fast and Furious was one of the operations under Project Gunrunner, part of the Department of Justice's broader National Southwest Border Counternarcotics Strategy.
Operation Fast and Furious was not the ATF's first "gun walking" investigation, which allowed illegally purchased firearms to "walk" out of gun shops. It was preceded by Operation Wide Receiver, which began in 2006.
During the Fast and Furious investigation, nearly 2,000 firearms were illegally purchased for $1.5 million, according to a DOJ inspector General report. Hundreds of guns were later recovered in the United States and Mexico.
In 2010, two of the weapons linked to Fast and Furious turned up near the scene of the ******* of Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry in the Arizona desert. The scene is where ATF and Border Patrol had a shootout with four individuals after a gun shop owner tipped off the ATF to a suspicious assault rifle purchases.
Any cop will tell you, there is a danger to undercover work. However, it doesn't make the loss of life of law enforcement any less tragic. Unless you politicize it.
How is this the President of the United States fault??? Was he in the desert? You're right, no other agents were killed under the other gunrunner operations. Maybe we should have built a wall instead. That would have stopped the illegal guns, ******* and murderers from coming here.

Bullshit. Holder wasn't held in contempt until a year and a half after fast & furious was ended. Obozo even claimed executive privilege over the documents trying to hide them from congress. Funny how withholding documents requires impeachment for Trump, but not for Obozo.

What do you consider after F&F ended? When the agent was murdered? Or when the gunrunners were arrested?
June 20, 2012 - Republicans on the House Oversight Committee recommend that Holder be cited for contempt of Congress for failing to turn over documents relating to Fast and Furious. They make the recommendation after President Barack Obama asserts executive privilege over some documents sought by the committee.
June 28, 2012 -
The House of Representatives votes 255-67 to hold Holder in criminal contempt of Congress. This is the first time in American history that the head of the Justice Department has been held in contempt by Congress.
Holder maintained that he was unaware of the program. He tried to get Congress to wait for the investigation to conclude, but with Obama being scandal, an election coming up, they needed something. As the summer went out, Holder was proven correct:

July 31, 2012 - The first of a three-part joint Congressional report is released. The report prompts the resignation of William Hoover, the deputy director of the ATF.
September 19, 2012 - The DOJ Inspector General releases a report on the operation, concluding that Holder was not informed of Fast and Furious until 2011. The inspector general finds 14 employees of the ATF and the DOJ responsible for management failures. After the report is released, Melson retires and a deputy assistant attorney general resigns.
60,000 pages were released. Obama's executive Privilege documents stood. The House of Representatives and DOJ settled the case last year. When DOJ was protecting tRump's right to Executive Privilege. Funny.

If you'd pop over here into reality land, you'd know the documents were NOT even fully turned over until two years AFTER Obozo left office. Hell the court case over the documents just ended last year.

Like Benghazi, the question is, what are you looking for? What conspiracy can be tied to an agency operation with ******* lords and gunrunners - where arrests were made- nobody got away with anything, to the President of the United States? There are hundreds of military and federal operations going on every single day. I know tRump says only he can fix things, but normal leaders appoint experts and professionals.

That would be the pallets of cash Obozo chose to fly to Iran....of course it was just a complete coincidence the pallets arrived as Iran was freeing our hostages....yeah....that's it.

No it wasn't I'm afraid this may be over your head. However, I will try. That money, was already slated to be returned to Iran. I'm sure you're familiar with the Hague Tribunals. That was not taxpayers dollars. After agreeing to the nuclear deal, we said we would release the funds, Obama decided to wait until the hostages were in a plane and in the air, just to be sure nothing funny happened. It's called leverage and Obama played it perfect. We got our people back, Iran allowed inspectors in their country to check on their nuclear weapon capability, and we had a dialogue.

Oh yeah that's just a cigarette...right! I wouldn't do this for just anyone, but given what I've seen in your posts here I'll make you a deal....I have some wonderful oceanfront property here in Kansas I'll be happy to sell you. You''ll love the view of the unicorn dolphins as they frolic in the waves!
The cigarette has a filter. Still, he looks cooler than you. I'm sure you did buy "oceanfront" property in that shitty state. You keep it. I'm not as dumb as you. That's not saying much though.

Utter BS.
1- What company produces it and show what stake Trump has in it.
2- It's not a ******* for the masses, only those with sever illness need take it
3- How on earth would Trump have any clue this ******* would work? Think about it.
Will it matter in your support? Really?

If hydroxychloroquine becomes an accepted treatment, several pharmaceutical companies stand to profit, including shareholders and senior executives with connections to the president. Mr. Trump himself has a small personal financial interest in Sanofi, the French drugmaker that makes Plaquenil, the brand-name version of hydroxychloroquine.

If you watch any news other than Communist News Network you would realize that the Russia thing was debunked years ago. Two year investigation and they came up with nothing except fraud in the DOJ. So, then they tried impeachment. We sucked it up when Obama was our president even though we didn't agree with some of his policies.

wrong….if you had watched anything other than the Fox opinion network...…..you would have seen he was more than guilty on several charges....just that a sitting president can not be charged

The former special counsel Robert Mueller made it clear on Wednesday that the reason prosecutors didn't consider charging President Donald Trump with a crime wasn't because of a lack of evidence, but because they are precluded from doing so by a longstanding Department of Justice (DOJ) policy.

Mueller reported

Much of the immediate commentary following special counsel Robert Mueller’s surprise press conference on Wednesday focused on his damning statements about President Donald Trump’s actions that potentially could be charged as obstruction of justice—if Justice Department policy did not prohibit the indictment of a sitting president. But Mueller’s remarks were also a reminder of the core elements of the Trump-Russia scandal: Moscow attacked the 2016 election to help Trump, and Trump assisted Vladimir Putin’s assault by claiming at the time (and afterward) that it wasn’t real. That is, whether or not Trump had criminally colluded with Russian operatives, he did side with a foreign adversary that attacked American democracy—and that’s treachery.

Mueller began his statement by reiterating what has already been stated by the US intelligence community, Democratic and Republican members of Congress, and his own report: Putin “launched a concerted attack on our political system.” He noted the Russians “used sophisticated cyber techniques to hack into computers and networks used by the Clinton campaign. They stole private information and then released that information through fake online identities and through the organization WikiLeaks. The releases were designed and timed to interfere with our election and to damage a presidential candidate.”

The Kremlin’s goal was to impede Hillary Clinton and, consequently, boost Trump. And, Mueller added, “a private Russian entity engaged in a social media operation where Russian citizens posed as Americans in order to influence an election.”

In other words, there is no Russian hoax. This is no Deep State concoction cooked up to subvert Trump’s campaign or his presidency. The attack was real. It was significant. And there was a compelling need to investigate it and any contacts between Trump associates and Russians.

Yet during the campaign, Trump and his lieutenants repeatedly denied the Russian attack was under way
. As soon as the Democratic National Committee publicly announced its servers had been penetrated by Russian hackers, the Trump campaign claimed this was a “hoax” devised by the DNC itself. After Democratic emails swiped by the Russians were dumped by WikiLeaks right before the Democratic convention in July 2016, Donald Trump Jr. and Paul Manfort, then the campaign chairman, went on news shows and denied this had anything to do with the Russians. (Only a month earlier, they and Jared Kushner had attended a meeting with a Russian emissary whom they were told was bringing them dirt on Clinton as part of a secret Kremlin scheme to help the Trump campaign.)

Even after the intelligence community briefed Trump in mid-August of that year and informed him that Moscow indeed was behind the hack-and-dump operation, he continued to say in public that there was no reason to blame the Russians for this intervention. At the first presidential debate, Trump huffed, “I don’t think anybody knows it was Russia that broke into the DNC…It could also be lots of other people. It also could be somebody sitting on their bed that weighs 400 pounds, OK? You don’t know who broke into DNC.” He kept this up after the Obama administration a few weeks later officially declared Russia was culpable.

Comments like these must have signaled to Russia—a foreign adversary trying to subvert an American election—that the Trump campaign was just fine with its underhanded efforts.

(After the DNC emails were posted around convention time, Trump publicly called on Russians to hack Clinton: “Russia, if you’re listening, I hope you’re able to find the 30,000 emails that are missing.” And, according to Mueller’s report, hours later, Russian hackers targeted Clinton’s servers.)

Also in the summer of 2016, George Papadopoulos, a Trump campaign foreign policy adviser, was trying to set up a back-channel with Putin’s office.

This means that while Putin was waging information warfare on the United States, one of the campaigns was reaching out and saying,
Hey, we want to play ball with you. No doubt, that was another sign of encouragement for Moscow. (And don’t forget that from October 2015 until June 2016, Trump was secretly negotiating to develop a tower project in Moscow that could reap him hundreds of millions of dollars—talks that included communicating with the office of Putin’s top aide. At the same time, Trump was telling American voters he had nothing to do with Russia.)

Trump put his own interests ahead of the security of the nation. And by insisting there was no Russian attack, he helped Putin pull off this caper and made it more difficult for President Barack Obama to enlist Republicans in a united front against Moscow’s attack. With Russia falsely claiming it had nothing to do with the hacks and dumps, Trump and his team were repeating and amplifying Putin’s disinformation. They were aiding and abetting the Kremlin. And after Trump won the election, he continued this pattern, failing to acknowledge the Russian attack and notoriously saying he accepted Putin’s denials. (One result of this was that Trump
has done nothing to prioritize actions to prevent future attacks on US elections.)

AND as for sucking it up when Obama was president....wrong that is where you got the name "party of NO"...and "obstructionist".....you signed a contract before he was in office to block anything he wanted to do...even if it was for the good of the country....you made fun of him...his wife AND his children....you called him a liar in front of congress on national tv...…..the only thing you are sucking up is the amount of ******* you are trying to pedal.....push your right wing bullshit someplace else.....we know better

Small being the operative word. His stake in the Dodge and Cox mutual fund your NY TImes article mentioned would put Trump's personal stake in Sanofi at somewhere between $99 and $1,485. Not to mention the fact that hydroxychloroquine is barely a blip on Sanofi's radar. As a 1950's ******* available generically, hydroxychloroquine is such a small part of their company's ******* portfolio that it isn't even broken out on their financial statements.

Of course such asinine claims by the NY Times sure are effective at getting the bubbleheads to bobbling....

Wow, trying to reply to my post while burying your reply in the middle of several other posts from you AND not using the site's reply feature so it wouldn't flag in my feed as having been replied to...that's seriously lame Skippy!

Sorry...Border Patrol agent, not FBI that was killed by the gun Obozo let walk. Border Patrol agent lives are SO less valuable than FBI agents. You follow that with a copy & paste that never addresses the questions: How many US FBI Border Patrol agents were killed by guns allowed to walk under Bush's Operation Wide Receiver? How many other US attorney generals were found in contempt of congress for withholding gun walking documents under subpoena?

Lots more deflection as usual. The Fast & Furious operation ended in Jan 2011 per the OIG report. Holder wasn't held in contempt of congress until a year and a half later.
Funny how Obozo's withholding of documents from Congress was OK then but is somehow an impeachable offense when the Democrat Party has control of the House.
We got our people back,
Yep, Obozo flew pallets of cash to Iran and bought hostages freedom.....glad you admit that. You can imagine we just HAD to give that money back to them if it makes you feel better...or if such babble makes your head bobble better.
