whining investigating hateful Dems controlling the house
Gee, don't you think it fair to take turns? I mean, the Republicans held it for 6 years and accomplished absolutely NOTHING except 74 House voting sessions to repeal Obamacare that failed ... and 6 Republican committees to convict Hillary, and failed again ... and charges of giving secrets to the Russians through her personal hard drive & e-mail, which ALL of the Trumps and some of his primary cabinet currently have that Republicans have not said anything about. But, the reason the Republicans lost the 2018 mid-terms to the Democrats wasn't because of all of that. It was because all those things were the ONLY THINGS they accomplished during their 6 years control of congress. Don't you think its Democrats turn, now? I mean, we got at least FOUR MORE YEARS !

.... and you can thank Newt Gingrich, Mitch McConnell, John Boehner, Eric Cantor, Paul Ryan, Jim DeMint, Bob Corker, Kevin McCarthy, Pete Sessions, Tom Coburn, Pete Hoekstra and Frank Luntz and 3 others (forget their names) who met to form the Party of NO with the intent of submarining Obama on the first day of his presidency. Newt was quoted as saying, after the first meeting, "Gentlemen, you'll remember this day when the seeds of 2012 were sown". But, Obama got re-elected for his second term ... the Republicans failed AGAIN!
Grover Norquist (Tea Party) started the "No Tax" pledge which he got 95% of all Republican in congress to sign under the threat of unseating them in the next elections ... which he did with some thanks to the deep pockets of the Koch Brothers at the time. Thing is, the Republican Party had allowed themselves to be taken hostage by a non-governmental agency. A direct violation of their "Oath Of Congress". Now think ... where are all those folks I mentioned above, NOW? Mostly ALL GONE! Voted OUT of office.
And THAT, my dear Trump colleague, is when THE GREAT POLERIZATION of US POLITICS started. It's going to take a very special president to mend the ill will of our 2-party system. I'm not sure I see that person in the horizon, BUT, a good start in finding them will be to put some sort of term limits on our congressional representatives, just like the presidency, and make all donations, to our representatives, totally transparent for the public to see. We need to bring some resemblance of integrity & honesty back to our Washington representatives.

Just THIS WEEK in the NC General assembly, currently held by the Republicans, the GOP Chairman, Robin Hayes, and 3 others have been indicted by a federal grand jury of trying to funnel $2 million of bribe money to the NC Insurance Commissioner, Mike Causey, for favorable legislation. Once approached, Causey contacted the FBI and the sting got put into progress. And, surprisingly, Causey is a Republican.
This seems to be the norm of a once proud party of budget discipline. Cutting voting days, hours, eliminating poling locations, restricting registration, etc all under the hidden agenda of a Voter ID law to stop voter fraud. Coincidently, the only cheating that has been found in NC have been done by the Republicans in the 2nd district just last election with absentee ballots. That and radical gerrymandering, which 3 separate district judges have demanded that Republicans fix, that Republicans have ignored to fix as of today, seems to be the M.O. of this once proud party now. Lie, cheat, and steal your way to the top ... its become inevitable with their current "trickle down" tax cut schemes.

continued thought from #4701

Early in Obama's 2nd term is when so many (use to be respected) Republicans realized they had FUCKED UP ... tarnished the Republican brand, and began to resign. The Tea Party members realized it, as did the Koch Brothers and many others ... and changed the name of the Tea Party to "Citizens For Prosperity" because the Tea Party name had developed such a negativity and split the Republican party so badly ... LOL Wolf in sheep's clothing, I think they refer to the TeaBaggers now!
It'll take the tarnished Republican brand 2 decades to fully recover from the damage the Gingrich "Party Of No" and the Norquist "NO TAX" pledges caused.

You’ll get NO argument from me that politics SUX - I agree wholeheartedly - term limits long overdue - doesn’t matter what side you back - they’re all dirty - most Americans just want what’s best for the country - I hope.
It’s really a crying shame what the Bernie people are doing to Biden - most everyone that knows him defend him and say he’s just a touchy feely affectionate guy - same with men as women - just a lil more demonstrative with women - I’ve always liked Biden - looks like Bernie is out for revenge and he’s just behind Joe in the polls - SUX - don’t believe the right has anything to do with this crap - because as Karl Rove was defending Biden he explained that the right would wait for him to get the nomination before they would rain this horseshite down on him - and - that makes perfect sense. Your own party is in turmoil - Biden is your best and being attacked by number 2 in the polls - SUX royally!!!!

Since I follow the democratic party fairly close, I can tell you there is NO turmoil regarding Joe Biden's weird greetings. Joe and his wife have been married over forty years, my man ... that's 4 & 0 ... I'm sure this rumor with Joe will affect votes for him, but a few things to keep in mind.
Karl Rove is wanting back into the political system really bad. He's willing to suck cock to get his political status back.
Trump's been married 3 times & had affairs with a multitude of women; that's a given. He's also been in lawsuits over his aggression with women.
Trump & his wife live in separate wings of the White House; the Bidens still share the same bedroom.
Trump, himself, would never play the infidelity or ******* cards on Joe, because Trump knows he's done far, far worse which some is provable. My bets are that part of the Mueller investigation spelled out some of Trump's infidelities in more detail. He was going to Russia some time back to sample the ladies there. Russia doesn't inforce their "under age" laws like other countries.
The voters are starting to get wise to Trump & his insults & lies; they're starting to tune his sorry ass OUT.
One thing that is a bit of a concern is Joe's AGE ... voters want fresh faces who look at their situations in a different manner. Many of the Democrats running are "far left" ... a bit further than I prefer, but its fairly safe that voters (in the majority) want Trump OUT. Can the Republicans suppress the voting in 2020 to keep voters away from the poles ... maybe. Can Russia provide enough BS media to lure liberals away from their candidate ... possibly some. Unless it gets really crazy, however, I see a total rollover to Democrats in 2020.

a lot of republicans have said they would vote for Joe

Yup - except - we all know Trump will get nothing through the house now.

I believe Joe would get significant votes from Independents and also from the right - but Bernie has other plans - too bad - karma is a bitch.

pic_PanicButton.jpg .....Today ... Six years of Trump's Tax Returns Requested and IRS agrees to comply with subpoena, Full-unedited Mueller Report Requested, members of the Mueller Team are coming forward saying a lot of important information left out of AG Barr's condensed report (how surprising-NOT), and Jared's Top Secret Clearance pushed through on Trump's request ... after Trump said on video, just 2 weeks ago, he didn't get involved in secret clearances. Let the REAL GAME begin ...
.... KARMA

I got 2 pennies that say it amounts to a hill of beans, but mountains will be made out of mole hills. I'll double down and say that even if it is significant, nothing will come of it except a bunch of media outcry to keep the people pissed and angry. Trump will be out of office in 2020 and all will be forgoten. He will never see jail, no matter how guilty he may be.

keep the dream alive!

keep the dream alive!
Al Capone said something similar, if I recall. Died in prison, however, didn't he? Trump faces a ton of mounting charges with bread crumbs going in all kinds of directions. The State of NY is salivating at their shot at Trump after he leaves office. From what I have read, their track record is quite good at taking down dirty politicians.
So, we'll see, won't we!?

Shifty Schiff and Nadfly - great sources there.

Mueller’s team - all rabid Hillary lovers - great sources there too.

Tax returns - who knows ???

Keep on hokin - strokin - and pokin - maybe you’ll get there some day.

Your salivating is disgusting :|

Ah yes, bringing back the oldies....Reading your posts sometimes seems like watching TVLand given all the reruns. As you've been told multiple times, it isn't "a violation of the oath of congress" for republicans to agree they don't want to raise taxes. This oldie but goodie lie from you goes back to at least 3 years ago....reference post 2990 in Politics.

Here's the actual oath for proof:

I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter: So help me God

As you've been told multiple times, it isn't "a violation of the oath of congress" for republicans to agree they don't want to raise taxes.
Really? A solemn promise or agreement to do or refrain from doing something that is a formally affirmed statement is regarded as an oath or pledge. Every member of Congress takes that oath of office and pledge. It is treasonous to also pledge an oath to a domestic enemy of the United States government (Grover Norquist in this case) whose stated purpose is not to “abolish government, but to drag it into the bathroom and drown it in the bathtub,” because “our goal is to inflict pain.” A majority of Republicans signed a solemn pledge to assist Grover Norquist in his drive to “inflict pain” and drown the government in a bathtub regardless the consequences to the United States or its people.
Pretty simple when you think about it. All Norquist did was cause more debt to the country, which got passed on to the tax payers. For example, the George W Bush tax cuts that all Republicans agreed to allow expire on its expiration date, got extended by Norquist threat to any Republican allowing them to expire because the expiration would, in essence, be a new tax. It simply went to the bottom line of the national debt. So, not only did Republicans violate their original agreement with the President AND the Democrats of Congress, they listened to an outsider who said he would "fire" any Republican who kept the original agreement. Peo9ple like Grover Norquist provided NOTHING POSITIVE for the USA ... his idea was to starve government of revenue thus resulting in the elimination of entitlements to the very people that needed them. One of the reasons John Boehner resigned was over Norquist, as he realized Norquist had gained power over him in controlling the House. Norquest should run for office if he so desired, but, voters certainly didn't send him to Washington, nor did they desire an outsider (with lots of money) controlling their local state representatives.
With that ....

BullShit as usual from you. You should try to educate yourself from somewhere other than Rachel Maddow. The Norquist tax pledge is merely a pledge to the taxpayers and the people of the United States to oppose increases in the net tax rates.....or is it that you actually believe the taxpayers and people of the US are "domestic enemies"????

Instead of parroting your hyperbole, you could have read the actual document here:

https://www.atr.org/take-the-pledge

I, ________________________, pledge to the taxpayers of the state of _______________________, and to the American people that I will: ONE, oppose any and all efforts to increase the marginal income tax rates for individuals and/or businesses; and TWO, oppose any net reduction or elimination of deductions and credits, unless matched dollar for dollar by further reducing tax rates.

While you may not like it for your liberal tax spend agenda, it is not even remotely treasonous for congressmen to agree to not increase the tax rates.
George W Bush tax cuts that all Republicans agreed to allow expire on its expiration date, got extended by Norquist threat to any Republican allowing them to expire because the expiration would, in essence, be a new tax.
Let's see, that would be the Bush tax cut extension which Obama praised when he signed into law wouldn't it? Are you going to call Obummer treasonous for supporting the Norquist tax pledge???? Again, you should know all this. It's another of your TVLand reruns from the past on here:

http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2010/12/16/AR2010121606200.html

Obummer quotes from when he signed the extension of GW's tax rates:

In remarks before signing the bill, Obama called it "a substantial victory for middle-class families across the country." He added: "They're the ones hardest hit by the recession we've endured. They're the ones who need relief right now."

Obama described the bill as "a package of tax relief that will protect the middle class, that will grow our economy and will create jobs for the American people."

Quit wasting my time and b2w black ink, you frik'n imbecile. Grover Norquist never worked for the government, and he use his frik'n pledge from negotiating any deals with Obama that included tax increases. Obama offered a 4:1 cut in entitlement spending to tax increase, and Norquist told them to turn it down or get voted out next election. At the Fox News GOP debate all candidates were asked if they would decline $1 of tax for every $10 of cuts to entitlements if Obama offered it, and they all said they would decline.
Go read your fuckinig history ... hell, there's even a video on it, you dipshit. Now FUCK OFF!

Quit trying to order me around. It is merely a waste of "ink". I would hope you do realize there isn't real ink on your PC screen...but I'm doubtful of that....

I know the history quite well....obviously far better than you do. I gave you a link to prove Obummer praised those Bush tax cut extensions....too bad you can't see that with your head so far up you arse looking for collusion somewhere. You do realize by your "logic" Obummer was being treasonous in supporting the "Grover Norquist" tax cuts don't you????

I recall Obama refusing to extend the tax cuts because the tax cuts were primarily for the wealthiest 1%ers and Boehner & Republicans were not going to raise the debt ceiling, then they agreed to remove the tax cuts for the wealthy.
I'm talking about the Norquist "pledge" that Republicans were ****** to sign under Norquist's threat of running a candidate against them if they didn't sign it. Hell, I have a copy of THAT PLEAGE with all the Republicans that signed it.
Now, "go eat gif_CRAP.gif and die, bitch!"

I recall Obummer signing the tax cut extension, praising it, and provided proof of both....but facts and reality to fit well with you obviously.

Yep, the same basic pledge I posted a link to and the text of....and Obummer's act was supportive of. Reality sure can be a bitch can't it???
