word_OUCH.jpgAnother Republican "lie" and this time the Republicans admit to it.
..................This one from the pro-Trump Network legal department
...... word_OPPS.jpg

The pro-Trump One America Network in a legal statement is admitting that there was no widespread voter fraud by Georgia election officials. What about Michigan, Pennsylvania, Kansas, Missouri, Wisconsin ... all "unproven accusations"

How many more times do the Trump teams have to lie before regular Republican voters start questioning this party's honesty & credibility?

There's only one way to address the problem I described, and that's for us all to not allow them to divide us in that manner
That's a terrible plan ... taint gonna happen by making a wish, TnC. That's the problem with many political plans, especially Republicans. They have no plans, just "statements".
There's got to be meat to the plan ... what turns the gears ... makes it work? Obviously, asking or telling the politicians to be "good little boys & girls" ain't gonna happen. Have you not researched suggested solutions on the internet?
For way too many years the politicians have been setting legislation like a fox guarding a hen house. Now they get more perks than ever, work less hours than ever, pass less legislation than ever, spend less time addressing the needs of the country, but spend more on non-voter needs for themselves than ever before.
How do we, as a country, start requiring our politicians to do what they SAID they were going to do when they ran for office. There ARE SOLUTIONS, but I thought you said you had some ideas. Yes? No?

The flaw in your thinking is that you seem to not understand who works for whom. We are NOT subjects of those elected to office. The power lies in the hands of the public, normal, everyday people like you and I.

The first thing that needs to happen is that people need to become INFORMED voters. That's the biggest hurdle, as it does take some effort to become informed... However, people are starting to awaken... Just look at the turning of the tide in school board and city council elections following the overstepping of governments and non-elected bureaucrats. All politics is local, the true power in the country lies locally. We're called to govern ourselves, and I can do that.

Just because you in one state, thinks that I in another state should adhere to a standard that you think is right, doesn't mean that's what should be done. States, counties, and cities are quite capable of taking care of themselves, the federal government's only true obligation is to provide security to enable us to do just that.

One thing that would cause politicians to snap to would be the repeal of the 17th amendment... State legislatures used to appoint senators, and they should still be doing that.

gif_yellowball-laughing3.gif Oh yeah, keep believing THAT ONE ... as I said and you obviously missed its meaning ... "we have the foxes guarding the henhouse"; that's not the way its suppose to be, either, but that's a FACT!gif_YellowBall-laughing6.gif

I'm not sure what I said that made you make this statement. Obviously you're not reading my post right or not caring what I post. I was responding to your earlier post.
NC is one of the most government corrupt states in the union, and we, HERE, know that. Since the Republicans took over NC legislation 12 years ago, they've continued cutting the powers of the governor, and cutting benefits for the poor and increasing benefits for themselves and their constituents. It currently takes 1.3 Democrat votes to offset the gerrymandered single vote in NC. Legislators continue robbing the poor, like the public school system of its money from the Educational Lottery and investing it into voucher plans for private schools, of which hardly any private school systems set up in the inner city where the poor ******* are. So poor ******* do with LESS so money will be available to support the Republican voucher plan for private schools.
Unemployment was cut from 26 weeks to 13 weeks back when unemployment was so high in NC and the nation. NC is now one of only 7-8 states that haven't expanded the Medicaid/Medicare program. These and other cuts just to support the Republican's tax cuts.

You don't believe that the people are supposed to have the real power in the US? Granted, it has been slowly stripped away from us over the past 200 years, but if the people were to really unite, truly, then it could happen... Will it? Not likely. It's really not necessary to include any laughing emojis, it makes it look like you aren't serious about the conversation.

I have no idea about what the case in NC is, but there's corruption in all politics... What I don't understand is that you blame Republicans, in a blanket fashion... In Missouri, we have Republican supermajorities in the general assembly, however, the fact is that if Democrats were in control, easily one third of the Republicans there would be Democrats... Not sure if it's the same in NC, but it's possible.

You don't believe that the people are supposed to have the real power in the US?
Of course the people should have the real power but until we take control of our congressional representatives that isn't going to happen. They already have way too much power, however, so it just isn't going to happen. Watch their asses tighten up when "TERM LIMITS" is mentioned.
if the people were to really unite, truly, then it could happen...
And if a bullfrog had wings, he wouldn't bust his ass everytime he jumped, either.

Sure it is ... I use emojis just like you use "dislike" to all my posts. I take every comment on here serious when it concerns politics. I just see some of your statements as rather humorous, sorry! I think I write fairly clear, and you seem to either miss out on what I'm saying or simply desire taking an argumentive position in what I'm saying. For example, your comment in the first statement above ... "You don't believe that the people are supposed to have the real power in the US?"
What kind of ridiculous assumption is THAT? What did I say or type that made you assume that?

Simply put, we need to CUT the powers of CONGRESS in order to take Washington DC BACK.
Little by little the politicians took more power, now their power is almost overwhelming.
Restricting TERM LIMITS and having a Congressional AGE LIMIT is a start. Also, requiring every dollar that our Representatives receive be totally transparent and restrict the amounts of money our Representatives can receive from any ONE DONOR.
And last but not least, rescinding Citizens United ... what a stupid thing THAT IS. Just another way to get huge money contributions from corporations who then influence legislation ... dumb, dumb, dumb.

Clinton's history in politics, i.e. her Benghazi & e-mails, was used by Republicans simply to destroy her political image. Several Republicans even admitted to it after Trump's 2016 win, by admitting to that fact and saying it "worked". Reminds me of the same type of assault they made on Obama but failed to accomplish. Like his birth certificate ... over 6 years that the Republicans & Trump used that Great Lie.
Secondly, as you always remind me when I bring up another individual in our discussions, you always change the individual we're discussing to get away from the Republican being discussed. So, in reality, the closest hypocrite you know is facing you when you're looking at yourself in a mirror. Maybe you should admit THAT.
It's also funny, and sad, that you ALWAYS find & address my posts and end most of them with calling me a hypocrite. Of course you accuse me of name-calling all the time when in actuality, all I've been doing is trying to discourage your obsession with me.
You turn a blind eye when the FBI states they were unable to obtain any of the 13 cell phones Hillary used to access emails on her illegal personal server....but excoriate Trump for not turning over cell phones. If your behavior isn't that of a hypocrite, what word would you use?

I might could be talked into a Shelbyville trip.
No I won't be going to meet you in Shelbyville. I generally avoid meeting people off the internet who have stated I should be taken out and shot. Is it hard to comprehend why?

Not threatening you, h-h, but with you ... it'd be a mercy killing, I'm sure, particularly if you bugged someone like you constantly bug me.
Now for the 10 thousanth time, FO and leave me alone, h-h ... go badger someone else.

A special committee of the US House of Representatives handed out subpoenas to five Republican lawmakers on Thursday, including the current leader of the party in the legislature.

"The Select Committee has learned that several of our colleagues have information relevant to our investigation into the attack on January 6th and the events leading up to it," said committee chairman, Democrat Bennie Thompson.

The subpoenas were handed to Republican House leader Kevin McCarthy, along with fellow party members Scott Perry, Jim Jordan, Andy Biggs, and Mo Brooks.

They have all previously declined to voluntarily appear before the special committee investigating the January 6, 2021 attack.

After the announcement, McCarthy told reporters he had "not seen a subpoena" and that his opinion of the investigation has not changed since he was asked to cooperate earlier this year.

"They're not conducting a legitimate investigation,'' McCarthy said. "Seems as though they just want to go after their political
opponents.''

At the center of the investigation is whether former president Donald Trump, his staff and advisors knowingly encouraged or helped organize the uprising, where hundreds of the former president's supporters stormed the US Capitol in an effort to stop lawmakers from certifying Joe Biden as winner of the November 2020 election.

Another ruling against the Republican "racist" gerrymandering agenda ...

A Florida judge said Wednesday that he would block Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis' congressional map because it unconstitutionally suppresses Black voters. Leon County Circuit Judge Layne Smith, who was appointed by DeSantis, said he would issue a formal order this week blocking the map approved by the governor from taking effect.
"I am finding that the enacted map is unconstitutional under the Fair District amendment ... because it diminishes African Americans' ability to elect the representatives of their choice," Smith said during a hearing, according to CNN.
The move came after an unprecedented intervention from DeSantis' office into the state's redistricting process. Republican state lawmakers were working on their own maps in January when DeSantis' office tried to hijack the process and proposed its own map so-called "race-neutral" map that would cut the number of predominantly Black districts in the state from four to two. Republican lawmakers passed their own maps instead but they were vetoed by DeSantis and the GOP ultimately caved and agreed to approve DeSantis' map. DeSantis' proposal would give the GOP an advantage in 20 of the state's 28 congressional districts. The map would eliminate the district represented by Rep. Al Lawson, D-Fla., one of the state's Black congressmen, and reduce the number of Black voters in the Orlando-area district represented by Rep. Val Demings, D-Fla., who is running for Senate.
"No matter how they repeatedly tried to justify themselves, it should come as no surprise to the Governor and this Republican-led legislature that the map is a violation of Florida's Fair Districts amendments and the U.S. constitution," state Rep. Kelly Skidmore, the top Democrat on the redistricting subcommittee, told CNN. "Once an election is done, there's no do-over," attorney John Devaney told the judge, according to Politico. "The harm is done. The only way to protect against that harm is to assure that a constitutional voting map is put in place before the election actually occurs."
(Poster's Note) This is similar tactics that the Republican-controlled North Carolina General Assembly used to gerrymander the NC districts. Currently, in NC, it takes 1.3 Democrat votes to offset or equal 1 (one) Republican vote. FAIR? I say not.
Is the Republican party capable of winning elections without CHEATING ... in the last half dozen elections it appears NOT. They decided being a ruthless, lying bunch of "thugs" rewards them better than doing the job they were sent to Washington to do.

As usual, Democrats doing exactly what they accuse republicans of. Their redistricting map in Maryland was thrown out with the judge calling it "extreme gerrymander"

Jesus H Christ, Biden won Maryland with 65% of the vote...why do the Dumascraps feel the need to cheat the system there??? Maybe because of fear given Biden's poll numbers are in a statistical tie with the least popular president in modern times???

Judge Throws Out Maryland Congressional Map, in Blow to Democrats

The ruling, in which the judge said Democrats had drawn an “extreme gerrymander,” was the first time this redistricting cycle that the party’s legislators had a congressional map defeated in court.

Cheating is all they know as the population grows, the conservative base continues to shrink, and the "trickle down" theory continues to fail Republicans.

ATLANTA (AP) — Republican David Perdue has made election fraud the centerpiece of his run for Georgia governor. But if he hopes to win in this year's midterm elections, his supporters will have to use the same democratic system he says they shouldn't trust. Across the nation, Republicans who have embraced discredited conspiracy theories about the 2020 election are attempting a similar high-wire act: campaigning for votes by preaching skepticism about elections.
The former president began spreading doubts about the 2020 election years before the first votes were even cast, saying he would only accept the results if he was the victor. He's spent the last year and a half repeating those same claims, despite an absence of evidence. Now, he's using his power within the GOP to punish candidates for being insufficiently loyal.

Georgia is perhaps the best example of how Trump’s self-serving conspiracy theories continue to resonate with Republican voters, and the candidates hoping for their support. Republican turnout in Georgia dropped in the January 2021 runoffs amid Trump’s barrage of voter fraud claims in his own election defeat, leading many Republicans to conclude that Trump’s messaging cost their party control of the Senate when Democrats Jon Ossoff and Raphael Warnock beat Perdue and fellow Republican Kelly Loeffler.
In his campaign speech, Perdue pledged to eliminate Georgia’s Dominion voting machines, which Trump has falsely accused of flipping votes against him. But Perdue also said concerns about the machines shouldn’t discourage Republicans from voting, noting that Democratic-leaning Virginia elected Republican Glenn Youngkin with votes recorded on Dominion machines.

Well, I filled my pickup this morning with gas that cost $4.29/gallon... There's no rhyme or reason for that... There is absolutely no reason why we can't be producing enough petroleum products in the United States to make gasoline not only affordable, but cheap... Democrats work hard to drive prices up hiding false environmental scare tactics.... Just like covid, anything that is highly politicized, should not only always be questioned, but automatically discredited about 9.9 out of 10 times.
