TRUMP is baaaaaaaaaaaack !!!!!

Paul Ryan just slammed Republicans who didn't vote to impeach Donald Trump

Former House Speaker Paul Ryan has largely disappeared from the national political scene. Which makes what he said earlier this week about the House vote to impeach Donald Trump in 2021 all the more notable.

“There were a lot of people who wanted to vote like Tom but who just didn’t have the guts to do it,” Ryan said of South Carolina Rep. Tom Rice, who he had traveled to the state to endorse, according to the Myrtle Beach Sun News. “There are a lot of people who say they’re going to vote their conscience, they’re going to vote for the Constitution, they’re going to vote for their convictions but when it gets hard to do that they don’t do it.”

Ed4mwf. credible points and well presented,
Still trying to wrap my head around why some use the name calling and negative statements (reminds me of my high school) problem is its effective, but usually on those who prefer not to engage in a meaningful discussion. I think we should always take the time to analyze things personally with information taken from various sources. We all have our biases but from what I have seen while Biden has his obvious flaws but he is respected more as a knowledgeable and experienced leader than the previous President who had better physical presence but lacked real presidential experience in respect to the rest of the world, where he was viewed more as a bully than a true leader, a style that i think appeals to the lazier minds, it is true that at times it is sometimes necessary to use the bully pulpit, but that should only be used as a last resort if all else fails.

Ed you can try to justify this administration’s bollocksing up of everything they touch but the average American only sees the price at the pumps - empty shelves - high prices everywhere - increasing crime - and - an invasion at our southern border. I’m sure you know the midterms do NOT bode well for you.

You've gotten some history on why it was so high at the time. It was the second time most American realized parts of our economy are tied the global economy. Yes, Vietnam, Middle East turmoil and instability- some of it manipulated by us in an attempt to install or control governments back when our CIA was ruthless and the Church hearing were novel.

Not true. But again- we went through a world wide pandemic. Not only was our consumption down, but it was down around the world and thus manufacturing almost came to a halt. This is something that economists were writing about in 2020. However, getting back on track has been difficult because now, people are buying more than before the pandemic. So, the logistics has changed for the better. Now we can't get products in fast enough - and with that increased demand, comes increased prices. That's just plain capitalism.

Global oil prices are up. You've seen enough charts that this is the case in Europe, Asia and Africa too. You want lower prices fast? That would take 'socialist' methods. In those countries where the government demands prices, like Venezuela, they are not having record highs. Gas is like is less than ten cents a gallon, yes in 2022 it's .10/gal in Venezuela. However, that comes with a cost to capitalism.
You have to chose, either companies can decide what to charge consumers, or government can.
You want to blame government? Take of the gloves.

You and I both know this hasn't happened in almost 50 years.
When we try to do this for the federal minimum wage, people like you complain that McDonald workers don't need $14/hr.

It's not. That's just not factually correct. It was worse during the recession thanks to Bush - both of them.
Employment is the lowest it's been in 50 years. That keeps this from spinning out of control.

So far, you've been short on facts, and high on emotions. This statement is a reflection of your emotions.

(A consensus means everyone - not just a majority. So it's either a specific number of 'Major Head of Nations' or a Consensus)
I highlighted this because you've said it since Biden's election and it's just a blatant lie. I wish you could make your points on facts, I didn't have to go and correct you, so your follower can at least have some truth among his hatred of this country.
Biden was the choice of most of our allies and world leaders. And, when he made decisions on what the US and NATO would do in reference to Ukraine and Russia, most of the world followed us. His leadership has not only strengthened NATO, but has nations that are famously and historically neutral for almost 200 years, looking to join NATO.
I'll be interested in where you have drawn your conclusion - since you claim it's fact...
It's you so-called Conservative/QAnon/Republican Americans that are disparaging toward our leaders.
And this enough, you've done nothing but demonstrate how emotional and immature your political analysis is and are still trying to turn opinion into fact.

Since when you do have oil investments? Last checked, you were unemployed (in an almost full employment economy) living with your kid. You told us this yourself. So now you have discovered investments that you can live off of?

Why do you cons need to lie to make your point?
Ed, the way you responded to this email makes it clear that you are forgetful, not as intelligent as you think you are, at least in your response to my sharing an Email I received from someone I have know for almost 5 years now. This person has stated to me that I may share some of their emails. This is all I need to reveal to you other than one fact, this person was not alive in the seventies like you and I were, being not yet 40 years old. I never stated that I was unemployed as such but said I am disabled, I personally don't have any investments at all and I never said I live with my D-aughter but it is her desire to have me live with her in the future. Just like all of the articles shared on here are other peoples words, facts and opinions, I also read, copy and paste to share with others. I will pass along your post to the person you are attempting to debate.

Stan do you think countries are joining NATO out of fear or out of love? Ian guessing it has more to do with fear of Putin’s lust for European dominance. Neither NATO or the US started this conflict.
To be honest, I don't know but I would say the chances are good that two of the recent world events have something to do with their desire to join NATO. The Covid 19 pandemic and real caution or fear of Putin's movements to gain European dominance. The US is involved in this conflict much more than I am comfortable with.

Definition of consensus

1a: general agreement : UNANIMITYthe consensus of their opinion, based on reports … from the border— John Hersey
b: the judgment arrived at by most of those concernedthe consensus was to go ahead
2: group solidarity in sentiment and belief

I betcha the consensus among average Americans is that the Biden Administration has been an abysmal failure.

The Dems will no doubt try to make the midterms all about gun control and Roe V. Wade - I think all the damage that’s been done will outweigh those issues by quite a bit.

the only empty shelves I know about are in texas where the governor stopped food shipments at the border for days, and food meant to make it to stores spoiled and rotted on the highway instead

Yeah well next time I go shopping I’ll take a pic of a Jersey barrier outside a Stop & Shop here in blue ole Massachusetts with this message on it “Biden Empties Shelves” !!!!

How bout dat ????!!

... sorta like the Republicans making it AGAIN about VOTER FRAUD? Whey they, themselves are the ones getting caught?
Well you told me to speak directly to you so here you go. You keep harping about facts along with your cohorts. Most of the posts that you claim to be factual are total talking points from the puppet masters that hard core democrats follow and will continue into they fall into the abyss. Instead of running you mouth about sources you always reject being wrong, prove it.

Just articles from the Townhall a columnists site.

I can respect your post, I can recall much of the history you shared.

Ed you can try to justify this administration’s bollocksing up of everything they touch but the average American only sees the price at the pumps - empty shelves - high prices everywhere - increasing crime - and - an invasion at our southern border. Occasionally I'm tempted to compliment you on the variety of adjectives you find to show your dislikes. But the degree of 'hatred' combined with the obvious intentional slanting on multiple subjects reduces it all to petty petulance.

1) The only expression from you on gas prices from you is Biden did it and the only 'fact' refers to pipelines. I accept you'll never, ever respond to the barrel price stats I repeatedly post, just like you didn't address the correlation to local/state gas tax increases. The PORTION of the pipeline you keep referring to was intended to increase/accelerate oil flow to Port Arthur, TX for export. Canadian oil. ALL other phases of Keystone are already completed and operational.

2) Empty shelves/high prices-Biden's fault. Nothing to do with the global interruption caused by Covid and the aftermath, from global shutdown to closures, employee deaths, national conversion to online purchasing, near total transportation retraction, including record ports backlog to consumer reemergence overwhelming rehiring/training, materials/parts availability. If you fall back to the availability of baby formula again, speak ONCE to exactly WHAT is the exact current root problem.

3)Increasing crime- We've just spent years watching how to get away with it, what did you expect to follow, come to Jesus?

4)Border invasion-I actually like to discuss an aspect of this. Most of our discussions were about people of the Americas further south and potential criminal and terrorist threats. No one on either side of the argument has said one word about the other people "invading" our southern border. How are Ukranians now approaching the border in the HUNDREDS daily having walked out of Ukraine with only the clothes on their backs?

Stanley,
let me be clear:
You do not have permission to forward my messages to anyone! If they want to be in a discussion, they can sign in to a free site.
Now you posting someone else's words and trying to pass them off as your own- until you're called out, has to be some kind of violation of forum rules.
You are here, we debate you. Not some proxy.

Sometimes you have to remind me of your limitations.
1. You just posted from 'Town Hall' and tried to pass it off as just columnists site.
A. You know the difference between Columnist and Reporter/Journalist is that a columnist writes opinion, usually theirs. A
reporter/journalist has to deal in facts to develop the story, or they can be held accountable for liable. Columnists are not liable
because it's their opinion. You are correct about Town Hall being a site for columnists, but let's see what kind.

B. According to Town Hall themselves:
Townhall.com is designed to amplify those conservative voices in America's political debates.
By uniting the nation's top conservative radio hosts with their millions of listeners, Townhall.com breaks down
the barriers between news and opinion, journalism and political participation -- and enables conservatives to participate in
the political process with unprecedented ease.

Well, there is the problem in the political debate right there, spelled out for you. It's also why I cannot believe how some of you try to pass off opinion as fact. WE NEED BARRIERS BETWEEN NEWS-OPINION-JOURNALISM- and especially POLITICAL PARTICIPATION

Everything you say about liberal media, the Democrats agenda, non-thinking opinion and such is explained right there- and it's your go to"source" that you proudly put up. At this point I'm 100% that you are completely clueless as to why it's an issue.
That means it's working.

Oh, Town Hall was once a creature of the Heritage Foundation, but now is owned by Salem Communications, which the number one media for the Christian Right. Nice 'source'.

Wait, are you saying the Democrats are going to run on guns and abortion?!?!
You mean the main issues that won it for republicans for decades?

I guess now that they are about to overturn Roe v. Wade and we have basically zero gun control in the country, the Cons have to create some other motivator.
You afraid those issues are not yours now? More Americans support a woman's right to choose. More Americans want some kind of check on these guns. Republicans are on the wrong side of those issues.

“Cons have to create some other motivator”

NO - No they don’t - Debacle Joe has done that VERY effectively.

In the end - I betcha just the pain at the pump and inflation will be enough however increasing crime - supply chain shortages i.e. baby formula and an out of control southern border will be overwhelming reasons to decimate the Dems 😁

Just a lil side factoid - do ya know the fastest growing group of gun owners ????

Well according to GOA (Gun Owners of America) it’s black women - aren’t they considered the backbone of the Democrat Party ???? If so maybe problems with ole Joe’s ridiculous tirade about the 9mm.
Poor guy can’t help constantly shooting himself in the foot - it’s really sad.
