You need to read your history books with a pinch of salt and relearn your definitions.
Communism (from Latin communis – common, universal) is a socioeconomic system structured upon common ownership of the means of production and characterized by the absence of social classes, money, and the state; as well as a social, political and economic ideology and movement that aims to establish this social order.
It is not therefore possible for dictatorship and communism to go hand in hand. Russia/China/North Korea abandoned Communism when they chose to reinforce the power of the state and created dictators, and suppressed the rights of their populations. Just because political leaders call something communism that does not mean that is what it is. Surely most educated people understand that?

Unless the baby goes to private or parochial school, but that is a choice. #3 There are people who have come from much worse situations, even in America, and fought tooth and nail to get educated. This discussion really bounces around, very interesting. The one point that always comes up about inequality and big money, is the negative comments associated with them. IMO, if you pay taxes and we all do, we contribute to the problem. If you enjoy all the technology and amenities that go with them, then you contribute to the problem.
