Not sure if this is the right place for this topic. I just wanted some different perspective on my situation. My wife and myself have been together for 13 years. Were in our early 30's.

It sounds to me like you guys might be hitting a spot where the curiosity is starting to overbear the nerves. Might also be that shes starting to trust the relationship a little more. If she was raised to be conservative About the marriage it can take a LONG time for perspective to change assuming it changes at all. She might be feeling the marriage has a better chance of surviving the way it did before. Could also be that after some time her curiousity has hit a point where she reconcidering her stance to see what the fuss is about. Could ALSO be that she feels like you want it enough (since you've brought it up more then once) that maybe things wont be so bad if she tests the limits.

Truth is there's no way anyone on here can tell you why the response changed. The best person to tell you that is your wife. The next step if this is truly progress is communication. Have a serious adult conversation with her about it. Ask questions about her fears and worries. See if she has questions for you. Often times things dont evolve from fantasy because couples never take "the jump" seriously enough. When you talk to her dont let it turn into another fantasy roleplay discussion. Ask, answer re-affirm. For the sake of your marriage dont push if her response goes back to no or if she starts to feel uncomfortable talking about it. If you try to talk about it seriously with her and things go south then let it go at least for the time being. Your goal here is to help her comfort level. I mostly meant her body size, because the OP suggested that might be part of her hesitation. But if she sees that people just like her are getting in on this, it might help.
