When I was kid, like late elementary or early middleschool, I never understood why the word was bad but it was in the music. On top of that as a kid learning it was a bad thing to say, didnt make sense to me when i looked at the map of Africa. There are2countries,1 named black and the other named Nigeria... as a kid when I saw this, it confused me more because being that we were taught slaves came from west africa it made sense to me that the N word is what we are, because there are countries that have name similar to it and we came from those areas, so we must be these ninjas that they speak of... only later does it comes to mind... who labeled the countries Nigeria and black, their current names...? As a baby I had very strange thoughts from the rest of my family... things just didnt add up.
