The resorts don’t want you to have a cultural experience which is why they don’t let in locals.

I stayed at the Belleh23 hostel in Kingston and I can guarantee there is so much more love making going on than in any of the fancy resorts.

Being that I have family in Jamaica. I can totally agree with your statement. Most people don't venture out of the resorts to villages in the hills where the speakers come out on Friday at 6 and the party goes on until Monday morning right before everybody has to go to work.
