there's a lot of historical truth in this, particularly when you're talking about the american south, with its legacy of racism and slavery. during slave times, white men took it as their privilege to exploit black women sexually, and even though this wasn't discussed in polite society, it was widely accepted. on the other hand, the slaveholders brutally repressed any sexual contact between black men and white women.
