I know there are plenty of guys that would argue about the free use of the term bull as well. That’s part of why I tend to avoid the term bull and prefer playmate since it avoids confusion or stigma.
I definitely agree that part of being a QOS is mindset but there’s also required activity that must take place as well, as you allude to. As a matter of fact, I was a QOS in my sexual activities and mindset prior to even knowing what a QOS was! What is interesting about being a QOS in the truest sense is that it is both cumulative and transient in nature; by which I mean that the status has several milestones that must be reached and certain proclivities and activities that must be maintained in order to remain an active QOS. For instance, if I were to stop having sex with black men and start having sex with a bunch of white guys would I still be able to call myself a QOS? If I’m not actively having sexual encounters with black men anymore then am I currently still considered a QOS due to past experience? If so, for how long could one be inactive in seeking out and having sex with black men and still be considered a QOS? Would that be considered as being a “retired” QOS? Is a QOS versus was a QOS kind of thing? So I think what this means is that one has to be actively seeking and having sex with black men to maintain QOS status. Kind of like if you were a swinger but stopped having sex outside of your relationship/marriage would you still be considered a swinger having previously swung? Just some thoughts.
