Even if we assume the worst; that Taylor Incorporated is just temporarily indulging progressives, one thing is still clear: millions of young white Swifties are being exposed to the thought of Black men as superior sex partners. This kind of mild IR promotion is much more effective, because it flows right through parental and family filters. It is also clearly designed to appeal to dreamy young white girls in the boy-crazy stage -- girls who might feel emboldened to bypass whitebois and choose Black for their first dates.

I'm interested to know what you mean by dangerous. Do you feel it's a business risk if she's not sincere? Although she depicts a comfy Sunday afternoon kind of interracial, this a very bold move for her, as she's kind of a queen of whiteness. What safer things do you think she might have done?

I just read an article where a politician said she wanted to keep her Michigan town "all white."

"Safer" in this instance is anything that won't get the racists riled up. Flashing a boob might be much safer than "race mixing."

Thanks for your answer. How do you feel about the IR movement becoming so public and mainstream? Do you think these white males who resist are a reason to tone it down? (ie. pop stars not openly promoting white girl/Black man)

I mean, this thread is fantasy about high profile white women getting Blacked as a positive trend in society. Taylor has just normalized the fantasy into a real life depiction. It would seem like the benefits outweighs the risk.
