One wonders what happened to those in these pics after their families found these pics. Did they get disowned maybe? or worse?

An artifact like that would have a great deal of value, although the value may be more to a museum (The Smithsonian for example) for what it represents than at auction.

It represents a very sad horrible time in our history. One wonders how different things would have been had slavery not existed in our society.
