Everything from free land grants, to public education, rights above all others higher education, FCC licenses, gov't support for failing farms, etc etc.

It's not statistics. It's real dollars and MORE real welfare dollars go to whites. Doesn't matter the percentage of their population. We don't do budgets like that. Statistics came in the picture under Reagan, basically to make white politicians feel less guilt in cutting welfare dollars to put into defense.

Disproportionate how? The number of abortions should be equal to the percentage represented in the population?
Or the percentage of those living in poverty, or single with ******* or without?
What exactly is the point you're trying to prove. That it is not racist to equate the poor with blacks or minorities?

The point Mac made was poor women. You assume it meant black women and he was advocating for aborting black babies. Not because you disagree with the notion I'm sure, it's because you wanted to try and trip him up and score one.

While reading the statistics on abortion, I had a thought. The statisticians may want to do a graph comparing religious beliefs ,and just not race and financial considerations. It very well may have been done, I’m not knowledgeable on this issue.

I've said many times that I'll vote for who I think will be a good President. Back when John Edwards of NC was running for the Presidency I thought he was one of the best options for the DNC yet he gave it up over "some pussy" ... he sure was a disappointment for me. I've always liked Biden but like many felt Biden might be too old to run, as I thought the same of Trump. But, had someone other than Trump evolved in the RNC and they were moderates I'd certainly consider them as an option.
2024 should be easy even though some Democrats have forgotten who "buttered their bread" and got things rolling for the liberals again. I honestly don't think Trump will run ... as long as he can keep banking MAGA donations to his personal accounts, however, I expect him to try to make everyone THINK he's going to run. What Trump has done to this country will take decades to totally go away, if ever it does. And if he goes unprosecuted (along with his family) all the things Trump did will only happen again and again until we lose democracy or totally shut down these rebels against the country.
I just want this country to unpolarized itself and become a "working congress for the country" once again.

The reason this section got set up this way was to keep non-black2white topics out of the mainstream of the website. On certain topics, such as politics, it sometimes gets a bit uncivil. The Admin hasn't hesitated to close a link down, however, when requests to calm it down have been ignored.
The non-black2white links are clearly marked so members know that the mainstream topics of black2white are NOT the main topics in discussion. If you feel Jewish people are being persecuted in society today, make your case by starting a link in this section. And if occasional mentions of jewish people offend you, you can avoid the section all together if you wish. I commend the Admin here for giving us a place to come to discuss off-topic matters.

Most women who abort identify as Christian.​

More than 1 in 3 women surveyed (38%) did not identify with any religion. About 1 in 4 identified as Roman Catholic. About 17% identified as mainline Protestant while 13% identified as evangelical Protestant. Altogether, 54 of women who had an abortion identify with a Christian tradition. Another 8% identified with some other religion.

As Christians grapple with this information, some of it surprising, one of the ways we can respond is by praying for wisdom in how to use it to care for women, proclaim forgiveness and redemption through Christ, and plead for the preborn girls and boys to be given a chance at life. And while we pray, let’s tirelessly work toward and for a future where abortion is unthinkable.

Most women who abort are low income.​

Almost half (49%) reported having family incomes of less than 100% of the federal poverty level (equivalent to less than $21,720 for a family of 3 in 2020). But a majority were not in poverty. More than 1 in 4 (26%) had incomes that were 100–199% of the poverty threshold (between $21,720 and $43,223), while 1 in 4 (25%) had incomes of 200% or more of the poverty threshold ($43,440 or greater).

Most women who abort are educated.​

Fewer than 1 in 10 women (9%) who had an abortion in 2014 of abortion patients aged 20 or older had less than a high school degree, while the overwhelming majority — 91% — had graduated from high school. More than 1 in 5 had a college degree, according to the Guttmacher Institute, a reproductive health research group that supports abortion rights

Almost 1 in 4 (24%) of women who had an abortion in 2014 were currently attending school. That number includes 72% of minors and 53% of 18–19-year-olds. Only 14% of those currently in school had not graduated from high school. About 2 in 3 (66%) had some college or a college degree, suggesting, according to Guttmacher, “that most abortion patients who were students were pursuing postsecondary degrees.”
