Strangely I thought the reason OnlyFans existed, is now apparently for the reasons they are blocking it. Talk about shooting yourself in the foot.

I think there's something that needs to be cleared here. OnlyFans provided some folks with further information that these articles failed to mention:

OnlyFans will NOT be blocking explicit content that is uploaded by CREATORS, in other terms, individuals who have verified their account.

OnlyFans is, however, BLOCKING explicit content from being uploaded by those who do NOT have a verified account. In the last couple months, OnlyFans has requested creators to re-verify their identity using a third-party verification company, Ondato. Reason being is MasterCard/Visa are changing the language on their terms of service, such that the underaged aren't exploited on their platform, and outlawing people from posting content created in the public, as that's illegal in many countries (including the non-consenting public in public sex content.)

That said, it's always good to keep your options open, and never wise to put your eggs in one basket. A solid option for those who want to expand their online presence in a platform similar to OF, check out this LINK , a lot of amateur content creators are heading there and getting ahead of the curve, in case something does change in the foreseeable future.

You do realize that porn isn’t free, right? Unless you only watch amateur user-submitted stuff, people work and spend money to create porn that is then pirated. If people don’t pay for porn, then it stops being made.

Yeah, but that's not what I am saying... I prefer to make my own, and it's only for me and my wife.... And 2, amateur user-submitted stuff is what I like best.... I don't like production porn...

Of course, it's always personal preference, I'm not criticizing anyone for paying for it, I just don't need to...

There will be other sites that host explicit content. But that’s not the point. OF makes it easy to amass a huge following quickly because it has so many viewers (there’s a decent amount of free content on there). On other sites, just because you build it or spread it, they won’t necessarily cum.

The put it in perspective: think about Zoom. It’s easy to do a Zoom call with someone but imagine if they said you had to do it on webex or gotomeeting? You’d have a lot lower interest or availability.

So Onlyfans is only stopping the non verified accounts, if someone is verified then, that content is not deleted, or restricted. This is old news. It is true but not the same as the current announcement about content.

So much for that. OnlyFans definitely is blocking hardcore content on its platform, effective Oct 1st. It sucks, but I think everyone knew this was coming, later rather than sooner.
