Hosting international students

Have any of you ever hosted international students? My wife and I want to be hosts for one or two international students, probably bbc. Just wondering if anyone has done that and how it went?

I think it will all depend what happens and what they are like. That’s why I ask the question

I've sponsored and hosted quite a few international students. You can host independently, which isn't advised generally, or you can go through the exchange programs. Most will use an exchange program since it pays.

I went through the exchange program the first time but since then, I've hosted independently. Only college level. It's been great. The rough part is always when they first arrive. Tough to get settled.
