for couples, do you prefer to have sex with the bull with or without a condom?

So i guess it appears, at least preliminarily, that the HPV 16&18 are not a concern. I see testing is the constant, but with no test (or cure), or symptoms for men, do you not care about the cervix killers? So many single men tell me they are tested and safe, yet the tests they take are for many things curable with antibiotics. (Called the "porno-4 test") The one thing not on the test is potentially a killer. Most men do not know anything about this and many are kind of 'meh about it. There is not one male on here who knows whether he has HPV 16&/or18.

As I mentioned before, men of couples have the benefit of knowing because their wives get a pap. Without a PAP, cervical cancer would be far greater. Until the next PAP, there will be zero symptoms for us, unlike the basic STIs which will present.

I would so much prefer bare, and surprisingly so would my hubby, but I do not want part of my cervix LEEPed off. I helped a friend through this and it was a crappy situation.

Sorry to be such a downer, just trying to gain insight out there. I have to say I am sort of shocked at the lack of concern.

Not to beat a dead horse.....but men have no test, and no symptoms for 16 & 18how do you know they are clean. Not trying to be in your face and combative, just trying to learn how people get around it.
Agreed that there is no 100% safety factor in something like playing sexually and that brings a risk involved with it. That is why I test regularly and like I said we use a certain amount of common sense with the men I am with. If it is someone we don't trust or know well or seems all over the board we will request the use of a condom. I guess I should have said in my ideal situation the people involved are just enjoying the moment naturally.

i think you err. Men can also be tested for HPV.
Stop, please. Let's start by you telling us exactly when the last time you got an HPV test? What leads you to believe what you wrote is anywhere close to being correct?

Due to the prevalence of HPV in gay, sexually active men, there is the potential to harvest test cells from the anal/rectum area.

Well, to be more accurate, here it is from CDC.gov:

Can I get tested for HPV?

No, there is currently no approved test for HPV in men.

Routine testing (also called ‘screening’) to check for HPV or HPV-related disease before there are signs or symptom, is not recommended by the CDC for anal, penile, or throat cancers in men in the United States. However, some healthcare providers do offer anal Pap tests to men who may be at increased risk for anal cancer, including men with HIV or men who receive anal sex. If you have symptoms and are concerned about cancer, please see a healthcare provider.

Back to my writing...

Men typically show no symptoms and it has been my experience and reading the comments on this site that men generally do not care about this risk. Until you know someone who has or is dying from cervical cancer, this won't matter. Cancer is a bitch, and regarding this subject, so am I.
