Education- why America needs more investment into it

Hell yes.
The problem is those who missed out, are the ones deciding on this for the next generation - so there will be no improvements. Just more complaints about teachers, more banning books, more curriculum decided by non-educators.

I think the constitution left to responsibility of education on the states. If so, that's a huge issue because lack of funding and standardization is making us as a country dumb. I'd prefer curriculum developed and maintained by educators vice politicians but lobbyists have other plans from our elected officials

No. Increasing school budgets does not result in higher comprehension or test scores overall. (OF COURSE, there are exceptions to this, please don't post your own personal story.). The number one thing to increase children's learning and overall happiness is a two parent household.

But that truth doesn't fit a certain group's agenda so it's often censored.

Conservatives, not all but the ones in office, are hardcore jockeying to remove the US Department of Education.
They have been since the Reagan era. That coupled with local school districts having taxing power, has led to a very uneven education system. As a matter of fact, a high performing school district is a major home buying incentive.

A more equal system and national standards is needed so that little idiots know the difference between Portugal and Paraguay, or New South Wales and just Wales, or why a poll is scientific and a survey is not. Or, the role of proteins in viruses and how our political system works and for how long it's been this way.

There is a fight against education, especially higher education. It comes from the Right and not only has it made us dumber overall, but comfortably dumb. Think I'm making it up? Just look back over the pages here at the Covid discussion - not one person against the vaccine has a background in research and development or an education in virology. They have no qualms about arguing unfounded internet statements against the finding of scientists and researchers.

How long before this brain drain permanently affects our economy.

Wrong. Wrong as hell. Any stats to back that up? No? Didn't think so.

WTF are talking about?

It's not a TRUTH. You got any proof of this? No.

The more resources for education the better - the proof is in the results.
Divorce rate in this country is moving to 60%, some ******* are still succeeding so your two parent theory is done.
Some of the best school districts also happen to be some of the highest taxed ones - not a coincidence.

Make my point for me - you're not an educator or administrator are you, and you have no proof of anything you wrote, right?

Because an educated person is one that isn't susceptible to the type of propaganda being produced by the Maga extremists and tRump. Their PROJECT 2025 INTENDS TO CRIMINALIZE PORNOGRAPHY AND ELMINATE THE DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION. https://www.reuters.com/world/us/pr...hind-it-how-is-it-connected-trump-2024-07-12/

Is that like turning abortion over to states so they can ban it and women die? tRump intends to eliminate the department of education and Christian religion will become a main part of school curriculum. Project 2025 also intends to ban pornography and prosecute the people that create it.
