We are considering going to Splash Mocha Houston in November. We are local to the Houston area so it would be pretty convenient for us. We have never done any thing like this and always played very privately in our home where the wife’s bulls would come over. She is also pretty new to BBC (but loving it so far and wants more) ! She brought the idea up to find a place or event like this and after searching found Splash Mocha. She took a look and said she is interested but we have questions. Given our lack of experience in a more public setting like this, how comfortable or uncomfortable could we expect to be ? What would the environment be like for her and for the husband ? She is a bit picky when it comes to men (wants tall, in shape, good looking, hung), so realistically what types of men should she expect to see there and what types of men would typically be coming on to her. She is also curious as to how much in general she should expect to be hit on, or at least approached by other men. We are just trying to get a general idea of what we may expect so that we can more easily make a decision and giving it a try. We have read the website and seen a bit of info on it, but hoping to get some more detailed responses from any one (couples and single men) that have actually experienced it. Thanks a lot !

How comfortable you might be is impossible for anyone to answer. I would think that the vast majority of people would find it to be as comfortable as a cocktail party. Some people aren't comfortable at cocktail parties.

Men will approach your wife some will flirt with her some won't. Women need to be a little proactive. If she likes the guy she should ask him to play. Most guys won't ask directly. If they don't get any reaction from her, they will likely assume she is not interested and move on. With a very few exceptions guys won't hit on her or become very aggressive. Why would they when there are so many other women who are interested.
The only way you can find out if this is for you is to attend the convention. I would highly recommend that you get a room and move into the hotel. If you don't your experience will be 10% of the fun you would have had.

We have a question, but I, the husband, want to say something first about being recognized. I cannot say for sure, but to me, if you so see someone you do know, and they know you, it should be kept a secret. Why would someone say something about someone they know, which would show, verify, they were there also and doing the same thing? It's not like being at the mall or at a theme park, it is a specific event, and so if anyone told, they would be "telling on themselves". Just thinking.

This is a little paranoid. No one except attendees will even know that Splash Mocha is going on inside. And even if someone deduced that there was some kind of IR event happening, how would they know the entire hotel were booked for it?
Also, you can always take a cab if that's important to you.
My wife and I were active in the swinging lifestyle for about 32 years. Over that time, we became aware of several people in our 'normal' life that also dabbled in fun time with special friends. We never caused them any embarrassment and as far as I know, we were never 'outed' in any way. In the early years, we were as paranoid as you can get but later found there was little or nothing to worry about. I would guess that if your are in politics or some other profession that naturally creates enemies, you may want to be a bit more careful than the average bear.

I may be wrong with some others, but like Gary21 and I said before, they are so strict, that nobody knows what is going on but those who attend. Then, if they do know, they are part and I would think they would say nothing as if they did, it would give them away. Others may think differently, but that is my thinking. The security around the hotel is very, very tight. Unless someone attending gave out the info, it is unknown. If they did, and why, but they would be outed immediately. This is a beautiful event, and they do everything to keep it that way, and so far, it has worked. Believe in it!
Trust me the whole hotel is booked for splash no one else will be there
