I previously attended Club Escape and was a member for many years under the prior owner, Brian. Sadly, Brian passed away, and his ******* took over the club. There were usually single black men present when I attended. At the time Brian owned the club, single men were quite welcomed. They had full access to all areas the club. Brian issued membership cards, and when a member showed up, you showed your membership card and a photo ID (not scanned into their computer system) to verify your membership to get in. Brian was a good businessman, and he understood that some people in the lifestyle needed to be discrete.
The new owner told me that she was making the club more "upscale". Read into that whatever you want. To me that means that they want to exclude certain folks. They require you to scan your driver's license, pose for "mugshot" style photos that will be stored on their computers, and basically surrender your privacy. In a world where computer systems, and--lifestyle websites too--have been hacked, and personal information exposed, and/or users blackmailed (Adult Friend Finder, Ashley Madison, Swinger Zone Central, etc) do you trust them to keep your information safe. Would they get a lawyer to fight the police department if they served a search warrant to turn over the records of their members? Do they have money to pay for good lawyers after paying for the new fancy "upscale" makeover and decorations?
