In Reaper Man by Terry Pratchett, Mrs. Cake has a spirit guide named 'One-Man-Bucket'. When asked where his name came from, he explained how in his tribe, a mom would name her baby by the first thing she saw after he was born. His full name was One-Man-Pouring-a-Bucket-of-Water-Over-Two-Dogs... an odd name, but still better than his older twin brother's name.
"Oh, your brother was Two-Dogs-Fighting?"
"Oh missus, he would've given his arm to have been named Two-Dogs-Fighting."
