Truth be told, cheating is a state of mind.

It's typically defined as betraying the trust of your partner in this circumstance. But if you sit down with her, have the conversation, and tell you that you'd like her to, you both could then discuss rules and whatever, and since she has permission it wouldn't count as cheating because you want her to do it, you're TELLING her she can.

But again, it's a conversation that needs to be had.

we’ve had that conversation twice. The first time she seemed to get it more, and said “so it’s not cheating if we are both ok with it”.

A few months pass and it’s wrong again. We talk about it and she’s asks if I could sleep with someone else. I say no, and she replies “see, I feel the same”.
