Ko' Olina is a nice resort area. A few different options for rental types and dining options as well. There are five different lagoons there so you don't have to go far to swim and sunbathe.

may be cheaperbut you will need a rental and thise areas are at least 30min to 60 min from waikiki
waikiki is the happening spot on the island

UPDATE - We are booked in Oahu down by Waikiki Beach ftom April 1st until April 29th. We have book a condo on Pualani Way and we hope to meet a great fun guy who is pleasent, clean, understanding of a wife who needs a connection to get into the fun stuff of a "special" relationship.
